The story is narrated by an imaginary friend named Skully. The narration portrays the view of an imaginary friend when he’s being forgotten by his kid, Luke. Skully is in an interrogation room talking to a man that’s asking his questions in an aggressive manner. Skully talks about his good memories with Luke and also how something changed around the holidays that he doesn’t understand. For some reason Luke stopped talking to him and listening to him, that’s when Skully’s bad memories about Luke start. The interrogator pushes Skully to confess the crime when he reveals some crime scene photos in the table in front of Skully, he confesses that he did what he did because Luke forgot about him.
The creation of this story was focused on the feeling of the imaginary friend, every little detail is thought to showcase his personality and his relationship with Luke. Skully’s design was inspired by a Skull and a plush toy that a kid would have, showing what an imaginary friend of a kid that loves pirates would look like.
